Q. Why are the lengths XXft+8.5"?
A. The fluid hose needs to be approximately 8.5 inches longer to make up for the difference in the gun handle length. Other wise you end up with extra air hose at your pot. This is why we hand custom assemble our hoses at our shop, instead of buying pre made lengths. (However if for your certain application you do not want the extra 8.5", just make a note in the comments section of the order.)
